The Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession announced the recipients of the 2024 Commitment to Equality Awards. Each individual exemplifies a dedication to making our profession, and community at large, more diverse, inclusive and just. In addition, The One to Watch Award was renamed The Avarita L. Hanson One to Watch Award to honor her legacy of work.
The Randolph W. Thrower Lifetime Achievement Award honoree was Hon. M. Yvette Miller, Presiding Judge, Court of Appeals of Georgia.
The Commitment to Equality Award honoree was Mercedes G. Ball, Assistant General Counsel and Director of the Client Assistance Program of the Office of the General Counsel, State Bar of Georgia.
The Avarita L. Hanson One to Watch Award honoree was Donna Robinson, Owner and Founder, Robinson Law Office, LLC.
The awards were presented at the 20th Annual Commitment to Equality Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 26, 2024.
